South Korean Ambassador gives a special lecture on Korean Soft Power, strengthening Thai-Korean academic relations

Because of #KoreanLanguage at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, we are an educational institution that pioneered Korean language teaching and learning as the ‘first in Thailand.’ On Monday, September 2, 2024, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, was honored to welcome H.W. Mr. Park Yongmin, the South Korean Ambassador to Thailand, who delivered a special lecture on ‘Korea’s Soft Power’ to students and faculty members at Sri Wangsa Room, Faculty of Political Science building, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus.

On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Cherdchai Udomphan, the Dean, along with Associate Professor Kanchana Sahaviriya, the Program Chair, Dr. Taewoo Kim, Lecturer Soyeon Lee, faculty members of the program, and students from the Bachelor of Arts in Korean Language program attended this lecture.

The visit of H.W. Mr. Park Yongmin, the South Korean Ambassador to Thailand, marks a significant step in strengthening academic and cultural relations between Thailand and South Korea, especially in the field of Korean language education. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, is committed to continuously promoting and developing this area.
