Philosophy of the Program
The Bachelor of Arts Program in Malay Language and Malay Studies is designed to produce graduates with proficiency in the Malay language, as well as knowledge and understanding of the political, governance, economic, social, and cultural situations of Nusantara (or the majority of Southeast Asia, specifically the southern part). The program emphasizes a progressive educational approach, focusing on the holistic development of students in all areas to ensure they are well-prepared to thrive in society, adapt to changing circumstances, and pursue further studies at advanced levels. Graduates will also embody moral and ethical values, with a strong sense of social responsibility.
