Philosophy of the Program
The program aims to produce graduates who are experts in the Japanese language and culture, capable of critical thinking, analysis, and systematic knowledge management. Graduates will be equipped to use information technology for self-directed learning and to apply and integrate knowledge across disciplines to create innovative solutions in societal contexts. This ensures that they can adapt to societal changes and continuously develop themselves, leading to lifelong learning. The program also emphasizes the development of moral and ethical values, self-responsibility, and social responsibility to meet the needs of employers in dynamic and multicultural environments. Additionally, the program prepares graduates for advanced studies.
Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
Possess skills in listening, speaking,
reading, and writing in Japanese.
Possess proficiency in Japanese, with skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing equivalent to JLPT N3 level, and be able to use English for daily communication.
Social skills and essential skills
for professional practice.
Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to work as a team to achieve common goals. Accept and consider feedback and opinions from others, while also expressing one’s own views confidently. Adapt and manage oneself appropriately under pressure, and understand and embrace multiculturalism, particularly in the context of working collaboratively with both Thai and Japanese colleagues.

Program Overview
Studying Japanese at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences will enhance your skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing from beginner to advanced levels, with instruction from both Thai and native Japanese instructors. In addition to language skills, you will gain hands-on experience in Japanese culture, such as through a Japanese Language and Culture Camp. The program focuses on engaging students in fun activities, such as games, singing, and role-playing, in a lively atmosphere.
Furthermore, students will have the opportunity to receive exchange scholarships to study language and culture in Japan, offering an immersive experience in the country of origin.
